Silly me. I been running TOS.exe instead of DS.bat. DS.bat loads up smartdrv which the game needed to view the cutscenes.

Silly me, it's because I been running TOS.exe or START.exe (Darkseed.exe) instead of DS.bat. DS.bat loads up smartdrv and I think it emulates the CD-ROM or something....

Nice, I finally figured that the anonymous account password is "" (BLANK). Back in 1996 FTP sites usually specify that we use our email address as an anonymous account password, and some FTP sites were fussy that there's an @ symbol in it. 0.65 & 0.70 is fine with Mike answering the door. I haven't gone to bed yet as am stuck in the library with a black screen when librarian shows me a book.

Nope. DOSBox 0.65 & 0.70 has problem when speaking to librarian 2nd time in day 1. It locks up with black screen. Still not fixed yet!

I need something cleared up. There's a setting in DOSBox.conf file that says: ipx=true #enable IPX emulation over IP/UDP Does that mean it converts the IPX packets so it works over UDP. Does that mean we can play DOSBox over the internet, since UDP is a internet related protocol?
