Re: Curious Archive.org Conundrum

in Milliways
Except what he wants to do is take advantage of the in-browser DOSBox functionality of archive.org so that players can immediately try the games, not just download them. That would be the deal-breaker for me personally, since a disingenuous project that pretends to 'curate' and 'preserve' and yet …

Re: Scalers don't work

The problem is in the video mode used by the game- IIRC it runs at 640x200, which DOSBox treats as a 'double-height' mode and displays as 640x 400 . Scalers do not apply at all in double-height (or double-width) modes. However, you may try this patch which enables normal2x and normal3x for the …

True, it does... also aware of the irony in the fact that I was generalizing pretty heavily as well; guess it goes both ways 😜

It's more the notion of old people that they can turn back time. Yes, because you know, there was a precise 1:1 correlation between age and vote. Much like the media's mission is pristine truth and objectivity :D These blithe generalizations tell us nothing about the issue at hand, although they * …

-Some flicker in the plasma part Yes, that looks weird, I wonder if it has to do with the blink attribute. Probably not, since it seems to depend on placement rather than color (the blink attribute would manifest itself in the 1024c screens, too). I also see a slight 'stutter' in the animation …

You can try Grabber- doesn't capture straight to ANS but there's GR2ANSI included which should do that for you. The unregistered version *might* insert a small 'watermark' though.
