Titan Black has WinXP dirvers WinXP is from 2001 and can run 16-bit apps 😀 there were no 8-bit pc apps so you cannot be more retro than that 😀

but you said that Dosbox is too slow for anything and doesn't work well. So maybe dosbox for mac is somehow not optimised yet. Cause dosbox for windows is not too slow and works well. Hence my question about trying dosbox for windows in parallels. Just for comparison to verify that.

amd long lasting cpu support is useless if you can upgrade mobo easily and don't forget not only cpu doesn't have to work even if it suits i have a new gpu that no longer works in old amd system...

now let's start the upgrade feaver: new fast intel, old cheap 1700 mobo, old cheap dd4 (you can find cheap ddr5 too now though) vs new slow ryzen, new expensive mobo, new expensive ddr5 oh, there's a third option here: Re: Bruninho's Virtual Machines (Windows, Linux, Mac) choose wisely 😉

i suggest migrating to new ssd first, so that if anything bad happens during mobo upgrade, you gonna be safe 😀
