unmapping is not needed, it is enough to do: 1. dosbox.conf -> [joystick] joysticktype=fcs 2. press ctrl-F1 and map your D-pad at jaxis although unmapping was helpfull when a person was by mistake mapping the other way: jaxis to d-pad 😉

don't forget that sb not only emulates mpu-401 but also has its own midi interface (used for example in "big red adventure" and "flashback", and also emulated in dosbox). Maybe that interface is less complex?

btw i wonder what does the real sb's mixer midi volume control do? Does it adjust volume of midi messages that go through its midi interface?

Would be nice to get CD audio volume control supported when playing from an image and then put a note in the readme saying that's the only way to get software-controllable CD audio volume. btw - that would also fix LBA's "line in" mixer volume control missing which i guess would be harder to …

you can try adjusting cd volume in your Windows (unless you have win7/vista) with # for real CD-ROM: mount c d:\games\doswin\ mount d e:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 or with image mounted with daemont tools light or some simmilar program Oh and i agree with HunterZ

tried both alts? try all other dosbox's shortcuts and check whether all of them work and tell which work and which don't

rates were the same in 0.70 install both dosbox's. you can even install some more versions. every dosbox has his own dosbox-ver.conf (you see in status window where its location is)

Curse of Enchantia - try it with dosbox first (maybe it wasn't installed properly or sth like that, (generally problem of the game not board)) try to run without soud/music, with sb soud/music etc. and try some other boards later too
