You are doing it wrong. For starters, drop that "portable" version and use a real official DOSBox 0.72 with a clean installation. Then it's time for upgrading your video card drivers. What operating system are you using?.

Get rid of the front-end. DOSBox isn't that difficult to operate, really.

I forgot to update title to newest 9.4 On the other hand, all 9.x series perform horribly for my HD3870. I have rolled back to 8.12 - I have notice heavy texture corruption in Counter-Strike Source with 9.4

For old machines I used to disable both L1 and L2 caches in bios, if possible.

You cannot do this at the moment, as far as I know. As you have well said, DOSBox doesn't support savestates and it will probably won't support them in a very long time.

Mario teaches typing 1 is for ms-dos. Use DOSBox. Mario teaches typing 2 is for windows. Unfortunately, we don't don't support downloaded content here. Sorry. [THREAD LOCKED]
