This is not descent 2, it's an AD&D RPG using the same engine. Well, I have to report that using imgmount works well too.

Interesting. I had heard there were some games using OPL chips to act as a DAC to play digitised sounds.

I finished Call of Juarez some time ago and I liked it very much, even if I dislike western movies. A lot better than the crappy Gun, heh.

I usually play games at 800x600 or 1024x768 so I am confident this game will still run at a useable pace on my decrepit PC: AMD Sempron 3000+ ATi Radeon X800GTO.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but some problems still remain using DOSBox 0.72 (You must skip intro). I think the culprit is the sound card selection interface (which sucks). This game doesn't use audio tracks. At last, I have been able to make it playable using DOSBox. I need to use the CD …

I don't think you can get a file just the same as the original after decompressing OGG or MPC. They are both LOSSY audio codecs. It would be different if we were talking about FLAC, APE, OPTIMFROG or something else, that is LOSSLESS.

OT: I find pretty stupid that you buy a game and you can't play unless you have an internet connection and download god knows what. On the other hand this could prove to be an effective and annoying copy protection.

I don't know why the second capture is borked. It showed fine when playing, though.
