Das Schwarze Auge 3: Schatten Über Riva works fine for me using DOSBox 0.65ß1 final. I am playing it right now. core=dynamic cycles=auto It even plays acceptably using normal core.

I have had good luck in recovering some unreadable floppies with VGACOPY 6.2x > retries = 99

Why don't you just create a oldgames folder at the root level of C: drive?

Are you running DOSBox under Windows? What videocard do you have? Are video card drivers up to date? Is your desktop colour depth set to 24bit (DOSBox doesn't like this)? What is your output= for DOSBox? Tried other options? Do ALL your games behave in this same way?

You are right. What mounting commands did you use? Try something like Z:\>mount c c:\oldgames Z:\>c: C:\>

There is a file called dosbox.conf in your dosbox folder. It's the configuration file. You can edit it using a text editor. Search for core= and cycles= inside and change them to core=dynamic and cycles=auto respectively.
