What videocard do you have? Newer nVIDIA cards are evil for VESA modes beyond 640x480.

DOSBox uses UK/US keyboard layout by default only. If you have a different keyboard layout some keys will produce funny characters.

Welcome to the forum, Dinnin Darkblade WinME? Bleh, worst O.S. ever made. Install W98SE + updates instead. Back on topic. I don't know that sound chipset. But maybe you need to load some TSR to get SoundBlaster emulation. Have you check the manufacturer's website?

For me it's fixed (at least for INTRO) selecting W95 compatibility mode for LOLG95.EXE as well as force 640x480 resolution & disable themes. I don't know if the latter is needed but it works for me this way.

Do you have the game patched to latest version? If I recall correctly, there was a patch that added D3D hardware acceleration.

I remember some SSI RPGs could print out maps and such. Attic/FanPro's Realms of Arkania could also print character sheets (I think).

Yeah. I have always asked myself the same question. Maybe they are labelling them: SBPRO II - Two OPL2 chips SBPRO III - One OPL3 chip But, then again, what about regular SBPRO?

Use some utility to generate ISO, BIN+CUE images from CD and mount them using DAEMON TOOLS or something. After mounting a new one, use CTRL-F4 under DOSBox.

Just swap CDs and press CTRL-F4 (rescan) inside DOSBox.

SMARTDRIVE (smartdrv.exe) is an old disk caching program from Microsoft. Windows 2000/XP (NT Kernel) doesn't include it.

The only reason for increasing DOSBox memory above 16MB is for running some applications (or protected mode games) that will take advantage of it. For the rest of games (oldies) 16MB is enough (and even 4-8MB).
