Just how I feared. You should ask HERE. They look quite knowledgeable. As far as I am concerned, it seems the Myst DVD edition (2002) works under Windows XP while other ones might not. Ask there.

The unpatched 1.0 version (Spanish) hangs for me. The official 1.2 + WinXP patch works flawlessly for me using Windows98 compatibility mode. Did you make a FULL INSTALLATION?

Before, we attempt to help you further... WRITE DOWN THE EXACT COMMANDS YOU USED FOR MOUNTING EVERYTHING. This way it will be easier for us in order to help you.

I think all this is part of the common hype whenever a new Microsoft's Operating System is announced. As far as I am concerned, my Windows XP setup must have a lot to live yet before I eventually make the jump to Vista.

As far as DX10 DLL comes in separate form, I also consider backwards compatibility emulation some kind of nonsense.
