In the end I was unable to get the Athlon XP 2800+ (out of production they told me) and I got an Sempron 3000+ which is my current processor. It comes with an AMD certified HSF.

Hey, mate, just 128MB for a P4 2.6? - Heh You would notice a hell of a difference going from 128MB to 512/1GB (specially for Windows XP).

I have been tinkering with HOTU version. The executables are weird, very weird indeed. Programmed with Quick Basic (thanks WD for correction). Some of them have NEGATIVE OVERLAYS.... :shocked: :shocked: :shocked: Anyway, forget about START.EXE Just run the game using MENU.EXE Have fun! :happyhappy:

I don't know why but I don't notice any real difference from running my LPT1 from SPP to ECP+EPP on my HP Laserjet 1200. What windows version do you have? I think DOSBox doesn't have nothing to do with that. Maybe you video card is overheating or you have some hardware issues somewhere else. PS - Latest Catalyst are 5.7

Hi, Welcome to the forums! Does DOSBox work with other games? I am asking because that SDL parachute error message seems related to me to some hardware incompatibility (mostly video drivers). Edit dosbox.conf (inside DOSBox folder) and change output= to output=surface.
