Yes, that's it change the line to output=ddraw for instance and save changes.

Use the shortcut that says Options -> DOSBox 0.74 options and change the line output=xxxx for any other option available (overlay, ddraw, etc). If you are using an AMD card I would try ddraw first -> output=ddraw If you are using an nVidia card you could try OpenGL -> output=opengl

Your best bet is to use a virtualizer solution. Don't use DOSBox for "serious" applications.
