cd is the command to be used, C: cd war2\ ... Or try a frontend like D.O.G. or DBGL. These are a kind of Windows on top of DOSBox. No commands, no fuss. Edit : this program cannot be run in dos mode this means that you're trying to run a windows program inside of DOSBox, aren't there any other …

In DOS there is no autorun. The way to install Warcraft 2 is : - Insert the CD-Rom and close any window that pops up. - Start DOSBox - mount a directory on your harddrive as C:\ - mount you CDRom as D:\ - cd to D:\ and start Install.exe - This starts the DOS installer of Warcraft 2 - Install the …

Re: Warcraft 2 install error

I always use ISOBuster to create CDRom Images. Sometimes ISOBuster creates bad cue files but this can be easily corrected. This is my cue for Tomb Raider FILE "1_trackk1.bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 AUDIO INDEX 01 19:39:65 TRACK 03 AUDIO INDEX 01 22:56:37 TRACK 04 AUDIO …

Re: Daggerfall Quests + Dosbox

1) Nothing special seems to be displayed in either during play or after escaping the game. 2) Yes, that is if I'm thinking the same thing. Cores from the dosbox.conf or am I mistaken? 3) Haven't really tried it, or at least never heard of it before. Could look into it. 2. You're correct, the core …

Re: Quest for Glory 4 English talking version

First check to see if you have any other .bat or .exe files in the game-directory. If so try to run those in stead. Turning off the DOSBox console has no influence on the execution/emulation of the game. The console is used soly for debugging purposes. Did you install the game through DOSBox in …

Re: Running Dosbox from a script

In frontends we use the -conf "Path to conf file" commandline parameter to start DOSBox, so to start DOSBox in a script I do something like : "C:\DOSBox\DOSBox.exe" -conf "C:\Path to Conf\MyConf.conf" Including the quots. This starts dosbox with the given autoexec in the conf file. Erik.

Re: DOSBox crashes using imgmount.

njaydg thanks for the help but I'm not having any trouble mounting the image... After checking the cue file again, I found that ISOBuster had created a cue file not "linked" to the bin file. Code: FILE "CD.bin" BINARY While the bin file was called "track1.bin". Changing the CD.bin to 1_trackk1.bin …

Re: DOSBox crashes using imgmount.

The crash can be generated using the attached cue file. I also added the conf file used to start DOSBox. DOSBox 0.72 was used. In Windows XP : Can we fix this dialog. In Windows 2K : AV-error referencing to a null pointer. Edit : Just found out that DOSBox doesn't crash if you keep only the mount of …

Re: where oh where....

From FAQ * DOSBox 0.70 has a keyboardlayout parameter in its conf file that can be set to the keyboard layout you would else use with keyb. If DOSBox returns with "Error loading keyboard layout XX", then you'll have to download the sys files from the FreeDOS site, see the previous answer to this …

Re: DOSBox crashes using imgmount.

The question wether an application should out an error or the user should know that the file used contains an errors and thus should expect errors is up to the answer on the question how far do the analysts/developers want to go in making their application error/dumb proof. Seems the answer is a …

Re: DOSBox crashes using imgmount.

I get this every day as a tester. The question wether an application should out an error or the user should know that the file used contains an errors and thus should expect errors is up to the answer on the question how far do the analysts/developers want to go in making their application error/ …

[Solved] DOSBox crashes using imgmount.

Creating a bin/cue using ISOBuster for my Tomb Raider CD resulted in an unuseable cue file. But this is ISOBusters fault. Anyways, after fixing the cue from ISOBuster (setting mode 1 and changing CDR to Audio), I mounted the Tomb Raider cue file using ImgMount with the -t iso flag. Starting DOSBox …

Re: csdpmi*b.zip????

Just use D.O.G. if you're totally lost. D.O.G. comes with CWSDPMI included. The site from witch you can download it is in the About freeware dialog. Just activate "Use CWSDPMI" to make D.O.G. run CWSDPMI before running the game. See screenie. You can find it here : http://clio.rice.edu/cwsdpmi/ Edit …
