Thanks for the hints. Tried it out... Chose to not use sound, lowered the cycles from 1800 to 900 to 500. Same error. THe picture you can see in my first post... Strangely enough Police Quest 3 works flawlessly... okay - a few graphics glitches... but thats not the problem. I need to get PQ1 running …
