If i have a "umlaut" in a filename (like Ü, Ä or Ö) the file isn't recognized by DosBOX. Instead, the umlaut is shown as ASCII 220 (a small block at the bottom) (like GL_CK instead of GLÜCK). It hasn't to do anything with DOS Box: The game also crashes with VDMSound. It seems, that the CD Audio Feature just seem to be unstable. It works great with the Midi Sound, however (VDMSound AND DosBOX).

This game is mentioned in the supported section as fully playable. However, i always get an "pagefault no set" error and then DosBOX crashes. Anyone an idea, what could be the problem?

They DO work, but all of them generate a new 32-Bit executable for using under Windows. No way to get them work under DosBOX. 🙁 If anyone has an idea, i would be happy to know.

Of course i tested all kinds of cycles and stuff in dosbox. VDMSound didn't do the trick as well. Win98SE, DOS 5.0, FreeDos, WINXP, Win95, from AMD over Intel to Celereon, and from Soundcards from Creative, over Aztech to TerraTec and on different kind of harddiscs and cd-rom drivers and so on and …

I try to get Orion Burger running with this damn Laserlok Copy Protection! I always get: LASERLOK CD not found - error when starting Orion Burger without MSCDEX. If i use the -t cdrom parameter, DOSBox crashes immediately with an error on some special CPU call. I already copied all laserlok files …

... hi, when i use RTZ with CD Audio, the game always crashes when reaching the lighthouse before the movie sequence starts. can anyone confirm that? the game plays ok if i use midi sound instead (or disable the -t cdrom parameter when mounting, so that RTZ can't find the audio tracks anyway)...

have you tried the -aspi and/or -ioctl command together with the -t cdrom? I use Win9x and there -aspi is obligatory to work with CD music.

The sound sampling of Time Paradox - Flair Software (1996) is wrong. Has anyone an idea how to fix it? I already tried to reduce sampling rate in the dobox config file, but nothing helped. the sampling is alwas doubled (peopel speak much to fast).

It's actually a 16-Bit Slideshow (by NeoBook) with Sound, not a game - don't matter how long graphics take to load for me - there are no animation or anything, just presenting 16-Bit PCX graphics in 640x480. I will probably install some older DR-DOS or FreeDOS Commands from my disks - they don't check if the right DOS version is installed, so i probably am able to use some of that stuff there. would be interessting...

Was anyone able to get Hardline running with VESA modes? It uses UNIVBE and DosBOX emulates this as an 2MB S3 VESA card - but it seems it isn't enough for Hardline and it configures itself for normal VGA mode (320x240). Anyone an idea how to change this?
