in advanced VDMS properties in LauchPad:

(u may not do this, it doesn't matter for running the game)
Close Dos Window on exit

Compatability:
EMS: 4096
XMS: 4096

If you download this game from here: Underdogs
*link removed*

You can get this problem described in this thread!
"game doesn't run. hungs right after start. video mode seems to change, then nothing happens. when i press esc, cursor of random color appears in random place on the screen."
showthread.php?threadid=292&highlight=Krondor

Solution:
Edit the drive.cfg!!!!!
There are only two C!
Change the C to the right installation directory:
Maybe c:\bkrondor\

Sorry Vlad,

Didn't know how to fix it with vdmsound and my expertise is with dosbox.

I'm sure Vlad will agree with me when I say that DosBox is increasingly becoming the better solution in most cases. M$'s NTVDM is a sorry piece of programming compared to DosBox and sadly VDMSound has to lay atop it like a slim pretty young woman atop a fat slob. 😮 Hey, that's a pretty good analogy!

So long as it doesn't require protected mode, or a 486, or a Pentium, or SVGA.

Plus it's still limited to basic 8Bit SoundBlaster audio.

A disturbing one, at least...
