Hi,

I still prefer the GS version.

Well, there is no doubt it's more 'authentic'. But I do think there is too much chorus effect on the guitars and overall the guitar sound is more toy-like compared to what S-YXG50 can produce.
But each to his own, you cannot quarrel with tastes 😀

Hi,
I really don't understand you. That's just an interpretation. I do not claim it's more authentic, just sounds more raw and I like it better this way. Where is the problem?

Well, then we're working the same way 😀. It was just an experiment, nothing more.

Thank you!
Now you can delete this )
Because it is no longer required at all.

Edit:

OPL3VST Plugin has the same problems as the MT-32 VST ) delay in played nots and slow play nonormally slow speed playing.1

OPL3 GM VSTi is based on DosBox OPL 2/3 emulator library .
It relies on some pecularities of Bass_VST library.
(Bass_VST does not use the deltaFrames member of VstMidiEvent struct.)
So under other hosts timing problems can occur with bigger buffers.

So OPL3 VSTi is not a general VSTi plugin for all hosts. It works with FSMP. In SAVIHost you have to set the buffer size to small value. (That means at least 200 b/s in Savihost -> Select Wave devices -> buffer).
But MuntVSTi has no such problem.
Anyway I do not understand this sentence fully :

MT-32 VST ) delay in played nots and slow play nonormally slow speed playing.1

Please show a video or something.

And I have written in SC-VA topic for you 😀

The visualization is absolutely broken, so please do not report it.

Thanks , buffer = 200 or above and play correctly )
As for the visualization, I suggested these moments in general to delete visulization from shell)
Also can delete the layout of channels

You have responded very fast, so I edited my earlier post too late. 😀
So:
In the final version full 16 channel GM mode will not be the only option since it requires 2 independent instances of Munt essentially doubling the resources and compute demand. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Since so far you are the only one who wanted this feature I doubt it will be the default. So I think (at least now) the default interface will be similar to the v1.2 MuntVsti in 1 instance mode and different in 2 instance (full 16 channel GM) mode.

The load increases by a miserable value and then only when all 16 channels are used) so I think that it's possible to make a 16-channel mode and remove part of the interface by switching channels and mapping the involved particles 😀

Unfortunately that's not exactly the situation. With 2 active instances you do not know previously what instance/part will be active (depends on channel messages). So the plugin has to process all two instances (calculating the output wave data etc.) even if no data is received from the host. And I know that e.g. Kamerat would like to use MuntVsti under Win98 under 1 CPU core. So that's not so easy as you think... I will think about it.

But at this time, when the processor is running very fast, you can include two copies of one standard MT-32 emulator, and as extended to 1-16 channels. Those who need 16 channels will have a second option out of the box.
If do as 1.2 with reading GM Sysex , that run as dual mode 1-8-10 and 11-16 not works. This works as always reset two runned copies as 1-8 + 10.
You can also make a checkbox for 16 channels mode like as Reverse Stereo, but it will be responsible for running two copies)
Thanks )

Hi,
I think your point of view is too focused on 'GM mode' 😀
1.Channel list and channel selectors does not lose their relevance in MT-32 mode. It's completely legitimate to switch channels to e.g. 1-8, 10 even on a real MT-32. (Look at Munt qt application. It provides different channel options without any GM mode). Also it can be useful in a DAW to define what channels you would like to use. It's a Vsti plugin after all.
2. I think 16 channels in MT-32 mode is problematic. It complicates things too much and risks the most important thing: compatibility. MT-32 midi files can send arbitrary SysEx messages that can configure the channels etc. any way.
Since both instances have to process SysEx messages (for right instruments, sound etc.) you cannot guarantee your desired channel layout and you can get overlapping channels. GM mode is different since it's not a real hardware mode.
I know in advanced what the only SysEx is that can trigger it and I set the corresponding channel layout. Any other valid MT-32 Sysex means a switch back to MT-32 mode.

You can make both MT-32 1-8 10 and 2-10 and check the box
Extended to 16 chanels
instead of button 9,11-16

MT-32 Music never used channels as 1-8 or 1-16 , but comfortability Play as GM music with MT-32 in we have all 16 channels and we can play as only channel 1 if MIDI keyboard or if we play edited GM music with 16 channels for MT-32 maps

I don't think you understand the problems fully. What would happen if in MT-32 mode the plugin got sysex messages that affect channel configuration? (even a simple MT-32 reset). Both instances would got the same channel layout (overlapping). So instead of 16 channels you will get 2 * the same 9 channels on both instances. The message separation seems to be the only partial solution.
Also I have thought about turning off the second instance when it's not active but then the 2 instances lose synch (since the synth's timestamps depend on the rendered samples). Overall there are many problems waiting to be solved. So I think it's too early in this stage for you to give me implementation tips.

Here's another beta. GM mode is working but MT-32 mode is still not perfect.

For the time being let's finish the brainstorming. I swear I send you a message when I need help.
