The black box is just covering up a discord for security’s sake. Systems are, from left to right, a Windows XP build, a PowerMac G3, my Windows 98 machine, and my modern machine. If anyone wants a list of the hardware contained, and or to know about the unseen games console collection, just ask.

It's only a 40lbs monster. It's a 1600x1200 Native G220fb, and cost an extremely high $5.

40lbs seems excessively light, my 21" CRTs weight like anything from 30 to 35kg... for some reason it appears larger than 21" in that photo ^^

It's probably the Speakers and SC-55 making it appear larger. I use the sheer size of it to hide a lot of wires as well.

Currently a work in progress. I just need to organize the cables and remove some things from my desk... #Minimalism

Artex - Do you remember where you purchased your desks from? I like that it's simple, 3 separate pieces that allow you to put it in the corner like that. Most of the desks I've been looking at are big L-shaped things.

Restricted by options in a one bedroom apartment and needing space for my retro PCs, I decided it was time to change things up a bit. Why do I even need a dining room?

Before:

After, I got this huge corner desk for only CAD$150 used!

...Oh hell, I accidentally built a YouTube set... (Probably doesn't help that I had mock graphics ready for such an event)

Holy Zark. What is that amazing TTC poster? I guess it's something modern using sixties promo work? Which is in a style that was also popular for illustrated wallpaper for children's rooms - Cowboys'n'Indians, Circuses. I had GP cars on my room. Just, wow. It's like the memory-machine just dragged me like a tin can on a string.

... is that a /vintage/ Ikea dining set? I just realized that's what we had in Toronto about 1980.

EDIT: ah, no. near-miss.

Hah, well, it's all new. The TTC has an online store and they sell posters. Looks like the 'Transit goes where the action is' is no longer listed, pretty sure I got this end of 2016. I had mine plaqued so they looked nice with the Union sign. The 'Original 1956 Subway Map' is still available plus others:

Oh, they still have the holiday variation: https://www.ttcshop.ca/collections/posters/products/ttc-048

Holy crud... and Wiki shows me that Bloor-Danforth opened in 1966. It had never occured to me that my mom was dragging me through something basically new, on a handful of outings to the Museum and such. The tube has always been such a part of the shape of that city, in the way a river is.

Got to ask, what exactly are those bub and bob figures and where can I get them! I hope they're not custom/home made, they look great

In fact I did make them myself with iron on beads. It's actually very simple to do.
