My computing area isn't nearly as impressive as most of you here. I do all my computer gaming retro and modern on my one main computer. I do also own a NIB 800xl as well as a 130xe, TI99-4a, and a Vic-20. But only the 130xe and Vic get pulled out of the closed and hooked up to mess around with from time to time.

I have had this system and case for just over 7 years now. Antec 902 with a now old Intel Z68 chipset main board with a an old Sandy Bridge i5-2500k at the heart of it all. 16gb total ram, 2 - 450gb Sandisk SSDs in Raid O velcroed to the back interior side of the case, an old Intel 320 series 120gb SSD as the boot drive and 2 even older 1TB WD blacks in Raid 0 where all the games are kept. You can see to the right of the case is where I keep my MT-200 and MT-32 modules with the MT-32 on the bottom.

Here you can see the MT-200 and MT-32 modules much better. The PC sits on a large 8ft x 6ft office credenza I was able to keep from my last job. That credenza was originally built in 1984 and is made of solid oak.

Thanks for the great forum.. this will be my first post. I'm just starting into retro builds to bring back the childhood memories. For now, I just built a dual boot 98/XP gaming PC, but I'm in the process of doing a Socket A build with a Voodoo 5 5500 that will be running 98SE, then I'll re-setup my old Compaq Presario 9232 for some DOS/95 gaming.

Warning, lots of pics..

98/XP Gamer -- Asus K8V SE Deluxe, AMD 3400+ (socket 754), 2GB HyperX, 6800XT, SB Audigy2 ZS, RAID0 80GB WD Raptors (only one shown in the pic since I upgraded it recently)

My modern gaming system -- EVGA x99 Micro2, Intel i7 5930k, 32GB Corsair Platinum DDR4-2666, 1080 Ti FE (old pic, GTX 980 shown), 512GB Samsung 950 Pro NVMe

And my main computing area.. lots of stuff in there, too much to list. Main rack has a custom ESXi 40TB media server with dual E5-2667v3's + 64GB ECC for the 3 rackmount HTPC's (HTPC's are run HDMI+USB over ethernet to the TV's in the house), another ESXi server next to it with dual E5-2670v1's + 128GB ECC for testing and building VM's.. then I have a 3D printer, tons of spare parts, a build area, TV on the wall, etc.

Two other computers I built.. one is an ITX gaming PC with a 7700K + 16GB DDR4-3000 + 250GB Samsung 960 NVMe, Zotac 1080 Mini ||| The other is a Raspberry Pi 3 in a pelican case I made.

And last but not least, my Voodoo 5 5500 that arrived yesterday. Rev A, 2100 build. It is going into a Shuttle XPC SK41G that I'll be customizing with a new paintjob, a window to see the graphics card, etc..

The modern neon thingies are not my cup of tea, but the raspberry pi suitcase looks pretty cool. What in the world do you use that for?

Is that a tiny wireless keyboard, stuffed into the suitcase?

The Pi does have a wireless keyboard in there, tucked vertical. I mostly just use it in my H1 if I go offroading or camping.

But yea, the UV cathodes in the 98/XP machine was made that way on purpose, since it captures my memories of going to LAN parties back in high school and how a lot of builds looked.

Your place and equipment are all awesome in so many levels, but lights and colors is not one of them, according to my taste of course 😊

So many great pictures. Almost in a state where I can show my bijou retro multi platform heaven, managed to mount a Z5500 speaker tonight with an ebay purchase. Will find if surround works in the next couple of days..

That is amazing.. Strange question though... What are the dimensions of that room? You have an ideal setup to which resembles a similar design I have in my mind. I'm wondering the dimensions of the room..

My computing area consists 5 computers: From left-to-right they are a laptop, my retro rig, a Raspberry Pi, a backup server, and my gaming PC.

The left-side tower beside the laptop is empty, just there to hold up the shelf.
