I have a CRT for them actually, but its for CGA / EGA (you can see it in the one photo on the left with the back of the monitor facing forward). Its an NEC JC-1401P3A and I dont have two EGA cards for it, nor a way to run both Tandy's from it....I like to have both available for different uses.....

I have other CRT's as well, but table space is limited so they arent used right now.

I don't have a lot of room but here is my retro desk:

gd65jBxl.jpg

Specs PC:

AMD K6/2 500
512MB Sdram
60GB SSD using a IDE > Sata adapter.
2 DVD drives
3Dfx voodoo 3 16MB AGP
SB 64pci
3Com 3x905 NIC
19 inch medion monitor

And to the left of the PC a Commodore 64 with an SD2IEC card reader hooked up to an old crt tv.

Might buy a bigger desk so i can combine my modern pc setup with the retro pc setup but for now this will do.

The system as in the operating system? Windows98SE. Framerate in Unreal Tournament is at around 25fps in 1024x768 16b . I have yet to try quake 3. Dos games run great.

I've got bins full of parts and whatnot in storage, but this is where I do most of my retro computing work.

Unfortunately I'm at about half the size my collection used to be. Maybe even a bit less. I also either sold or scrapped most of my old PCs as I had 286s, 386s, 486s which disappeared at some point. So little room for my stuff.

More important than room are the things that are inside in.
IMO, the left speaker is too close to the TV, it can cause magnetism problems in CRT TV/monitors. Maybe you can let the speaker on the floor or attached in the wall, moreover with this you saves space.

I have a question.
What is the aspect ratio of your monitor?
It's very similar to two 4:3 monitor together.
Thank you.

By the way, your setup is grandiose and spectacular!!! Good work

Got my 5750 back up and running again for something to do during a web outage yesterday. Here's a photo of both it and my main machine in action, as well as a spec shot of it.

UPDATE: Got a Xonar DG PCI soundcard, DVI to HDMI adapter, and PS1/2 to USB patch cable coming in, in order to allow output to an HDMI port, give it an internal S/PDIF out, and allow a Dualshock/DS2 to be connected for the controller.

Nice! I assume both monitors are hooked up to one arm??

I have a similar sized desk (i.e. not very big) with a 22" flatscreen and 14" CRT and I'm considering something like this.
Now I wonder if there even is an arm that would support both a CRT and flatscreen...

yes, it is a t-shaped one arm solution - they designed for two 27 inch display, but the width is same, like at my 34 uw, and the 20 inch 4:3 display. i missed one thing - the vesa connection is not at the same height. maybe later i will replace with two independed arms with custom height position.

i dont think, you will find a combined lcd-crt solution. i also feel the crt more nostalgic, but finally i chose an lcd for the retro rigs because of the space saving.
