This is a sweet setup. I need to get me a all-in-one 486 one day. The desk is quiet unusual with that double shelf setup - is that how the desk came or did you make that yourself?

It's an Ikea Jerker, which was a modular desk popular with computer folk as well as music producers. If you google image search them, you can see all the different configs that people have used.

recently fully assembled! no retro case with this one, this PC-K58 was just recently relieved of duty from being my main tower for a whole decade, so this is its retirement

Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X, Pentium III 1GHz, 512MB SDRAM, MSI GeForce 4 Ti4200, Voodoo2, Audigy 2ZS (have this one disabled til I dual boot XP, VXDs arent playing nice with 98SE) , Soundblaster 16 CT2230, and a Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 80GB IDE HDD

The power supply's sadly being returned since it's cutting out under load, going to be dropping my old 650TX back into it and loading down the 12V rails so it actually boots, a bit janky but it's what I've to work with until I buy an older Antec TruePower or something

Nice case. I did like the lancool dragon lord case's, they were very well put together.

It took a lot of convincing from the gf to finally stop using it as my main one since I needed one for this project, I adore it, everything being toolless and easy to take apart is the big draw of it for me

Yeah it's an artscow pad I grabbed years ago, I ran the cover art through Vector Magic for it to scale up well enough to be printed, came out really well

My actual retro test build... P4-2.8Ghz Northwood, 2x1GB Kingston DDR400, i865PE, HD3450 512MB, Audigy, SATA 120GB and 40GB IDE (for Win 9x switching vga obviously), Enermax EG375AX-VE (W) P24 great PSU, Asus SATA DVD, using both Linux and Win 9x, waiting for the 3,2Ghz cpu to arrive and maybe risking testing the Prescott on this but I have to wait for the mosfet heatsink first.

Latest iteration of my money pit, thanks to quarantine boredom.

Specs:
Phanteks Enthoo Pro
Supermicro P3TDDE
2x Pentium III-S @ 1266MHz
512MB PC133 ECC
Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB
80GB Barracuda 7200.7 (OS + programs), 160GB Diamondmax Plus 9 (games)
SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Digital (primary sound card), Riptide PC80079 Rev. C (secondary sound card, only used for when im using non-amped speakers)
Windows XP Professional SP3

List of things I gotta do to it, in order of importance:
*One of those drive bay adapters so I can have a floppy drive again + a black drive
*Startech 7 port USB 2.0 card + NZXT port splitter dohickey (currently have no front panel USB)
*SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme PCI (also don't have front panel audio atm, but an upgrade/replacement for the ol' Riptide and SBL 5.1 would be really nice)
*Thermaltake Commander FT
*Radeon HD 3650 (9600 Pro kinda sucks, even for the games I play)
*4GB PC133 ECC (obviously 512MB is pretty painful)
*A pair of Startech SATA2IDE adapters and probably a 500GB HDD to go along with the 250 I have spare
IMG_1259.jpg

Zenith: 2x 1266MHz PIII, Supermicro P3TDDE, 1x 512MB PC133 ECC, Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB, 80GB Barracuda 7200.9 (OS+Programs) + 160GB Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 (games), Windows XP Pro SP3

I've had this HP Brio 81XX since my childhood. (Mowed at my mom's work to get it)

Recently took it out of storage, took out the aztech sound card and 56k modem, and bought some upgrades for it.

Pentium MMX 166MHz
128MB EDO RAM
2GB+8GB HDDs
S3 Trio64V2/DX 1MB + Voodoo2 12MB
Yamaha DS-XG OPL3 Sound Card
Windows 98SE

Might need to replace the CD-ROM drive it seems to install things fine, but tends to crash and burn on games that have to access it to load music or videos.
