Hi All,

I just joined and thought I should post one of my old machines.

It is an Osborne (was an Australian company) 486 DX2/66.

Full Specs:
Intel 486 DX2/66
40MB Ram (2x16MB + 2x4MB)
Onboard ATi MACH64 1MB Video Card
540mb HDD
Windows NT 4 Server 😀
ISA 10mbit Network Card
SoundBlaster 16

I only just installed Windows NT 4.0 on it. I haven't got the network card working yet or upgraded to SP6. It does seem to run pretty quickly.

I also have another machine exactly the same except it is a DX4/100 with a better 3com network card 😀 Currently it runs Windows 3.11

BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely love these OEM machines 😀

PS/2 ports as well!

Looks very similar to my Acer OEM 486. Same ATI video card 😀

Matching monitor -- Nice!

Looks like you can upgrade the onboard video RAM to 2 MB with those empty sockets (as shown).

I find NT4 to run pretty smoothly on most 486 hardware.

Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.

@swaaye yep I can do that. I've got a bunch of old hardware 😀

@feipoa yeah it was a pretty good score those machines, both in pretty good condition (apart from the dust!). Yeah I noticed the slot for the video memory, I might even have some 2x512k chips that might work, just need to check the memory speed.
