The shipping must've ended up costing more on average than expected because the seller upped the shipping price to $15 from $10.

I was going to order a second CPU and do a duel CPU rig.. Tried to talk the seller back down to 10 dollars for shipping and then just gave up. Just got my P3B-F rev 1.04 in, works like a charm. Just waiting on the P3 1 ghz.

The pair of SL4KL's arrived. It cost the seller $23CAD to ship both in one box which is basically spot on for the $20 shipping I paid. Great deal to find these for sure.

Awesome. Have you tried it in the P3B-F yet?

Nice!

Can't wait for mine 😀

Try with 512 MB of memory and the drivers mentioned should also work well. I never had problems with the very latest driver though.

For the most part its up and running. Still need a few things.

However things are not do good with the AWE64 Gold.

I got three issues with it.
1) When I boot up I get a message saying. Read Error in C:\.....SYNTHGB.SBK.
2) Only the left channel works.
3) Card fails the onboard mem test. (Creative diag test software)

This card is bad, sell has a 30 day warrantee... hope they honor it.

Those errors you have means that SB onboard memory has issues. I had that kind of problems in the past with more than one AWE64 cards, and SIMMCONN solved all. When you install SIMMCONN, it disables the onboard memory so problems are gone.

AWE64 Gold were not rare. Several years ago I even saw not unpacked cards on sell. Maybe it's better to find reliable seller who knows what sells, $10 difference is not much.

500 GBP (ebay link removed)

That is some horrid price gouging 🙁

Maybe the fact it's boxed is part of that high price?
