If going for Era approiate reviews wouldn't it make more sense to use a Voodoo 2/RivaTNT/Rage 128 based video card?

I have a TNT2 and Geforce 2 MX, i don't know if i'll have problems with FX5200. If anything happens, i'll change.

That's a real nice motherboard! Intels all time best motherboard IMHO
Had a Gateway with a SE440BX-3 (3 = OEM) growing up with on-board Ensoinc sound, it was ok
Then got the same motherboard in a Dell few years back with Yamaha sound (and non ATX power connector)
Yamaha has very nice midi, but unlike no Dos support, which was important for me back then (to play network games with my 486) so guess at the time the Ensonic was more useful.
Now though I like the Yamaha better and just play dos games from within windows, and you get a proper ATX connector as well, I'm bit jealous.

Personally I'd put a newer soundcard in for Win98, but apart from that nice system

Nice! As far as the FX5200 goes, I believe it'll fit the bill just fine regarding late 90s DX games. As chinny22 said, a newer PCI sound card would do this build justice (EAX/A3D maybe?), I'd keep the AWE for an earlier build (P1 MMX/slow P2), but that's just me 😉
