Hello!

I haven't posted on the forums in a while- I do lurk here virtually every day.. however i've decided to make one big post about the various hardware I own- this of course excludes the various assorted motherboards and low end agp cards that I own. Incoming wall of text! (well, sortof)

The first system of vague importance is my main PC- Right now I'm actually unsure of the CPU, as the seller claimed it was a Sempron 2600+ however BIOS (mine is known not to support Semprons) claims it's an Athlon XP 2200+, as does CPU-Z (CPU-Z claims it's an Athlon MP of all things), XP System, and AIDA32. 3DMark 2001 SE also claims it's an Athlon XP 2200+. In 3DMark 2001 SE the score I got was only marginally better than my previous Athlon XP 1800+ (5552 vs. 5525). So for now let's assume it's a Sempron 2600+, as Socket 462 heatsinks are hard as balls to remove and I forgot to check the label on the CPU to see if it's an Athlon XP or a Sempron. It's my newest custom built PC and while I have newer OEM machines (Socket 478 and AM2 respectively) I prefer the freedom of custom hardware in terms of upgradibility and overclocking.

So, back to the specs. It's got a Sempron 2600+, an MSI KT4 Ultra Socket 462 Motherboard, an Nvidia Geforce FX5200 128-bit (tried upgrading to an X1650 Pro but the card was defective), 2.5gb of DDR333, a Powerlink 350w PSU (will put my Seasonic 235w one back in eventually) and a 320gb Maxtor 7200 RPM IDE Hard drive. And Windows XP SP3 of course:

Next up are two laptops- One is an Inspiron 2200 with a Celeron M 1.7ghz, 512mb of SODIMM RAM, and a 60gb hard drive- at the moment this laptop doesn't do anything, it's a sitting duck... though I might use it for say, running Void Linux in the future. The laptop to it's right is a laptop my family has had for quite a long time; A Compaq nc4200. It has a 1.86ghz Pentium M, and, like the other laptop has a 60gb hard drive and GMA 900 graphics. It runs XP SP3 and is for some reason dreadfully slow- I'll probably just install Windows 2000 (it's fully supported) and use it as a retro gaming laptop. I believe the unofficial SP4 is the culprit of the slowness- it made my main machine very slow as well, hence why I don't use it. It's a shame that's very slow as I enjoy using the laptop.

Here they are:

The next machine that'll be showcased is my Compaq Deskpro EN- It's got a very special place for me as it was my first very old PC (I've always used old PCs/low end PCs) which could run Windows 98, and hence I'm gonna keep for it as long as possible. It has a 966mhz Pentium III, 384mb of PC133 SDRAM, a 20gb HDD, and some Intel iGPU which I do not know the name of. As of now, it runs a Windows 98 installation which is missing some files... I intended to use it as my main machine for 9x stuff. However, sadly, as of now it just peeps many times angrily instead of POSTing at all. Here it is:

Here is another custom built machine- It's got a 1ghz Athlon MP, a PCCHIPS M863G motherboard, a Geforce 3 (64mb), 1gb of DDR400, and a 30gb HDD. Right now it has no function as I can't find the front panel layout for the M863G. However, if it was fully functional I would use it as my Windows 7/Linux compatibility machine:

This is my school laptop- I hardly ever use it for anything else. It's a Dell Latitude E6420. It has an Intel i5-2520M, 4gb of mem, a 256gb SSD, Intel iGPU 4000 (shitty I know, i'll probably have a better GPU than it in my main soon) and Windows 7 Professional. While it is by no means a bad laptop, I quite frankly hate the idea of using a laptop as my main machine- on top of the problems caused by Intel ME and Meltdown. Here it is:

The next machine is rather peculiar. It's one of two 486 machines I own- it has a 486SX 25, 8mb of SIMM-30 memory, an Acumos AVGA1 video card (256k of video mem), some AZTECH SB Pro sound card and not much else other than that. It's my only AT machine. As of now, I have no use for it (I don't really care about DOS gaming, only 9x gaming) and spent way too much money on it. It also isn't functional. Here it is:

This machine is my only PowerPC machine- it's an iMac G3 Blueberry (Slot Loading) from 1999. It has a PowerPC 750 333mhz, an ATI Rage 128, 128mb of mem, and a 10gb Seagate U series X hard drive. Right now, it has no use as it has a defective CD drive. When I first got it back in early 2017 it had 512mb of mem, a 250gb HDD, and ran Yellow Dog Linux 5.0.1 of all things. Here it is:

The final machine I'm going to mention here (I have more but they're rather boring, partially functioning/non functioning OEM machines) is my Panasonic CF41. It's also a 486- it being a 486DX50. However, it is only partially functional and I'm unable to find drivers for it anywhere. It has 16mb of mem and runs Windows NT 4.0:
