I tried using these two commands (pentium dual core e5800, asrock 775i65G):

MSRED W 194 10628
MSRED W 19A 12
- that's all! If FSB400 you'll get about Pentium-1 133 performance. If FSB800 you'll get about Pentium-1 266.

It seemed to fix unreal gold which had weird speed issues. I was able to use 32bit color and with triple buffering enabled it appears quite smooth. Only problem is that the commands seem to persist through reboots. How would I reverse these back to stock?

edit: So basically the multiplier was changed to 6x and the default multiplier of the e5800 is 16x so I would just do:
MSRED W 194 11028

to restore it?

Interesting how it persists even across OS installs.

I'm wondering, which boards and chips are supported? And what about half multipliers. (Like E5200 which runs 12.5x 200 or E6300 which runs 10.5x266 or E7200 which runs 9.5x266 or E8500 which runs 8.5x 333)

Also, is there a full table available? The multis are easy to guess from the 0x199 call But the throttle steps aren't that easy to get.

Unreal got issues somewhere around 200 fps. The entire game seems to run faster, scaling with framerate. Got it running with the D3D8 renderer and a limit of 199 FPS just fine .
