I just hope my fx 5950 ultra doesn't arrive dead. It should arrive later this week or early next week. 40 euros was a decent price if it works... If most FX cards are bad quality like that, I don't think I will have good chances with it.

Agreed, Haven't come across too many dead cards from the FX series except the top tiered ones, Obviously cooked them selves to death.
I have a draw full of dead 9xxx series Radeons which i've pillaged for their heatsinks.

Tossing my fx500 into it for now, an fx 5200 Quadro feels kids week for an e6600 but oh well I'm sure I'll get the most possible from it 🤣

But I did get myself a bga rework station so maybe I'll replace the dram on my 5900 ultra

Now I'm mad, it was a GeForce 2 ti, I got scammed.

On the bright side a gf2 with an e6600 gets 21k in 3dmark99 and 14k in 2000

What scum. Hope you're going to ask for your money back.

If it was an innocent mistake, I'd like to hope he has no issues giving a refund. If it was an intentional scam, screw him. Those kinds of people shit up the community in pursuit of greed. It's one thing to make money off selling a legitimate item at a high price, but another to just flat out scam people.

I hope you find the right GPU at the right price at some point in time. Such an unfortunate series of dead cards 🙁

Sounds like someone sneakly flashed the bios onto a lower spec card
