This is my new retro Slot 1 Build!
Specifications:
Intel Pentium III 450MHz Slot 1 Katmai
192MB RAM Samsung PC100
MSI MS-6119 Slot 1 Motherboard
Sony CRX210E1 48x/12x/48x CD-RW
Sony 1.44MB Floppy Drive
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8 30GB HDD 7200RPM
ELSA Erazor III-LT NVIDiA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 32MB AGP2X video card (card is AGP 4X capable)
No name C-Media CMI8738 PCI sound card
OEM 3COM 56K Winmodem PCI
Realtek RTL8139D PCI NIC Gembird NIC-R1
All powered by a LC-A250ATX 250W PSU
All mounted in a Targa ATX minitower computer case.
Any comments and opinions and advice are welcome.

I love that case! How the hell do you open it though? Also, it could do with some cleaning

To open it, you have to slide 2 plastic tabs in the rear. The tabs are shown in the first picture.

Whats this PC used for?
Win9x, I would probably upgrade the CPU and Video
Late Dos, I'd add an ISA sound card

at the moment is seems kind of in the middle unless you have something else in mind for it?

My first thought as well. When I do a new build, I start by cleaning all parts (case included) *before* I even think about assembling any parts. Especially the front looks gross.

nice build but you should find out where you can buy some simple green to clean that case up. Remove everything and spray it down in a bath tub and scrub the hell out of it, becasue it really is disgusting looking.
