That has to the the Ultra variant of the Diamond Viper 550. I have the standard version and it came with just the larger (but passive) HS.
I'm even more surprised that this is a PCI version 😀
I once found such a board locally, but never did much with it due to time constraints, but having the option to use SIMMs with an older Pentium II is interesting.

Yeah i`m really amazed.

No chance, i can crank up Monitor Resolution to 1280x1024 and 16bits and still be able to play Quake II without any significant Framedrops 😳
for Mid 1998 a nice Card, a Voodoo 2 can`t stand this.

The V2 only beats it in "Low Resolutions" and the Picture Quality is also not so good compared to the TNT1 which has nice Colors, and no blurry filtering.

The Card really rocks Q2, at least with a PII.

I think i will add my Audigy 2ZS too, but not sure yet.. it is not fitting time period 😀

Since that motherboard in the picture is an OEM Intel PD440FX board you have there, I am interested in what bios string it will show for this page:

As you can see I don't have Fujitsu Siemens yet.

There is no BIOS String, it only shows BIOS Version.

The Version Number is all you get on Memory Test Screen.

I put Audigy 2 ZS inside, but it seems the Card is slowing down.
Does it so much processing on Host CPU ?

Ok so there's no extra character at the end which means retail Intel board was used. Thank you for the information though.

Maybe that's why this bios version is higher than the highest one carried by Fujitsu support (1.00.06.DT0). Also I seem to remember they used to include the board number on the post screen (either in the header or the string) so in this case D1005

Other than FSC themselves, this is a good site for info http://www.eastcomp.de/support-fujitsu-siemens-mainboard.htm

http://www.eastcomp.de/fsc/d1005.html for this one then. That looks like the layouts I know from Intel manuals indeed.

my vfd is having the fits since the latest windows update so I'll have to drag my trusty nc6120 from its resting place I guess. But from what the update tool shows initially in dosbox, they used the retail bios from rev 1.00.01.DT0 already

Bringing up an old post but with good reason: found the original Siemens manual for the D1005 motherboard. If you look at the board image above, the white sticker mid board has "A26361-D1005" on it, the same as the attached manual footers and last page 😁 Also found manual for Seimens P.Pro D1000 motherboard.....

added: most Siemens bios strings tell the board version:
BIOS Version V.VV Rev. R.RR.BBBB
V.VV BIOS version (e.g. 4.06)
R.RR BIOS revision (e.g. 1.01)
BBBB System Board (e.g. 1025)
example: 486 - Not detecting floppy and HDD?, specifically download/file.php?id=141597&mode=view is board 824
