the war machine is finally complete. the case started with some blue components so i just went with it.

took about 4 months i think. mostly just waiting for me.

cooler master stacker 832 -war machine
seasonic focus 850 gold
evga 680i sli
core2 extreme qx6850
4 x 1GB ocz sli ready ddr 800
2 x evga 8800gtx ko acs3 edition
120GB ocz agility ssd
1TB wd blue
liteon dvd-rw
samsung floppy drive
7 x rosewill 120mm blue led fans
silverstone 8 port fan splitter
windows xp

while the stacker 832 is certainly a large case, once you populate the side door with fans, it starts to get a little narrow. certainly no 120mm tower cpu coolers. i went with a stock 9 series extreme cooler instead. a tiny bit of dremel was required to clear the 680i sli heatsink. on the video cards, i decided to go with some evga powerlinks since i couldn't get the pcie power cable to clear the door fans.

hope you guys enjoy.

That is a beautiful system you built. And it's using one of my favorite motherboards too. How's the heat with the two 8800 gtxs? I have a system with one and it can get kinda warm depending on what games I'm playing

The second 775 SLI build in less then a week! I'm liking this new trend 😀
e-nForcer ( Core 2 Quad Q9550, GTX 280 SLI,EVGA 790i FTW)

Also like populating fan bays even if its more just to add character to the case then for the airflow
Usually a theme, Red for the Hot P4, Purple PPro (triple P) My blue rig a dual P3 is because its cool and not just because, honest

after browsing old stacker 832 builds online, i noticed most of them either had no fans in the door or they had 3 out of 4. this is due to height issues it creates when you populate all the door fans.
just for its over the top look, i really wanted to make sure i had all the door fans populated.
oh, and it's loud as hell of course.

It's a column-type fan that can be fitted on the swinging door thing instead of two of the regular fans. I know the 830 can take one but wasn't sure about the 832.

Yes, the 832 can take it, but -

**Cross Flow Fan will NOT work with the Nvidia 8800 Series or the ATI R600 Cards**

Okay, I remember seeing that in the manual and not knowing what it was.

i finally found the origins of the chassis. project war machine https://web.archive.org/web/20070914141835/ht … .com/gaming.htm

and here https://books.google.com/books?id=NgIAAAAAMBA … machine&f=false

it appears to be a failed oem that existed very briefly. looks like my specs were spot on for this chassis. unfortunately , there are no manuals or software in the archive.

but, i did find some super cool wall paper. neato!!!
