Project #12: a 2009 Core 2 Quad
Description: to close the gap between Pentium 4 with Hypertreading and the Hexa-/Octacore machines after 2010 I built this Core 2 Quad machine.
The Cooler Master aluminium case with it's glossy black finish, is monolithic and with It's discreet LED lights, it is rather stylish - almost as good as the Lian Li cases around 2010 😀
It wasn't a easy decision what graphics to choose, but eventually I went for the Radeon HD 5850 because it is authentic 2009.

Building my own PCs since 1991 - for my retro builds it's "no CF-disks, no Floppy emulators, no modern cases etc.", only the real and authentic stuff whenever possible.
