Any opinions about my Socket 754 systems?

Why only systems with XP and no Win98? Single core A64s are kinda weak for games that start requiring XP.

Are you only using integrated sound? EAX enhances many games, and SB Live and X-Fi cards are inexpensive. A3D 2.0 cards are awesome, but very expensive.

1. I know that Athlon 64 is weak, but for me it run my games fine. I prefer XP because it is time period-correct with age of systems.
2. I know these, but for me integrated sound it is fine. Even SoundMAX integrated audio supports A3D and EAX. SoundMAX is best integrated audio for me.

Also, when I will build more Socket 754 systems, I will post them there.

I spy a CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case very nice choice. It's one of my absolutely favorite cases. I have my son's Socket A system in that case

I had a very similar build in mine actually, s939 A64 Venice 2.2GHz with 2*1GB DDR-400 and several Samsung Spinpoint HDDs.
Heck, mine also included a black FDD! ^^ and mine also ran WinXP (but SP2) because as you say it's the best fit for such hardware 🙂
ODD is fine. This rig does include a case fan so a thumbsup there.

The graphics card is somewhat underpowered for your rig though.
Is your VIA VT8237 SATA controller the PLUS variant which does work with SATA2 drives or is it the older non-Plus chip?

All in all, a nice rig. Only thing I'm not much of a fan of are the PSU (I don't know that brand) and the graphics card being somewhat underpowered (but I do like that it's passive or it seems to be a passive one judging from the pics).

Yes. ComRace is a local brand.
I know that the K8N-E Deluxe is similar, but it was a rare motherboard here in my country. I am happy that I own a rarity.

They look like drawers, but are faceplates. It is a very stylish case, which looks like furniture.

My VIA VT8237 is the older non-Plus one, so HDD is jumpered, but if I want a modern HDD in it, I can connect it to the Promise FastTrak 378 controller that supports even modern HDDs.
