Put BeOS on it in multiboot, to escape the dreariness of NT4 from time to time.

That would be interesting, but unfortunately I doubt that BeOS would have a driver for the Oxygen 202! 🙁

Don't know about you but I found installing Backoffice 4.5 for NT4 and messing around with that kinda fun.
Dosfreak does have a list of games, ignoring dosbox (cause that's cheating) isn't much but a few is better then nothing

It would still work in Vesa compatibility mode so it may be worth a try.

I've just purchased this pair of Canopus Pure3D II 3dfx Voodoo2's for this system: (They're a nice matching pair of non-standard Voodoo2's! 😀 )

Do they use relays for switching output as the Voodoo1 from Canopus did? *click*

Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

And what's the green LED for?

Did Miro also has these cards? Just like Trust and Skywell had the same models?

To be honest I don't yet know, as I'll have to wait for a few weeks for them to arrive from the US.

I don't see the presence of a relay on the board though, where would it be?

I may have gotten that one wrong. It was the Orchid Righteous 3D, that had the relays. My bad ...

I've just ordered a CooerMaster Cosmos C700M for this build: (As my local supplier has been battling to acquire a Level 20 for me, and if he eventually does it can be used for another build!)

It has the required 8-slots required for this board!

I already have a Cosmos II (My i7 980X), and they're pretty good cases, so I at least have some idea of what I'm getting here!!!

I've also ordered this badge for the machine:

Very nice. I really love that Cooler Master case.

The system should hopefully present pretty well through the tempered glass door!

The only lighting that I'll use here is off white!

good luck finding the P65UP5's big brother, the P65UP8.

Bitchin' dual p-pro setup

Its where I keep my overdrives as well. ^.^

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

I'm going to be swapping the Oxygen 202 out for this Matrox Millennium II, as I want to run XP on the machine, as NT's way too limited to run on this build!

That's a very nice setup! 😀

Seeing that you have both base boards, how much RAM have you been able to fin into my version at a maximum? (As far as I know, mine's limited to 512MB)

I've now completed my purchase of the Gravis Ultrasound PnP, and the IPC SCSI RAID Disk Array Controller GDT6538RD 6x68pin, 4x50pin SCSI Adapter!

So this build now consists of the following components, many of which still have to arrive from various parts of the world, so it will take some time before I'm able to start with the assembly:

ASUS P/I-P65UP5 Baseboard with a C-P6ND CPU card

This fully modular 750W Power Supply

The Gravis Ultrasound PnP

the IPC SCSI RAID Disk Array Controller GDT6538RD

The Matrox Millennium II PCI VGA 8MB 2D card

e1z8VW1.jpg

This pair of Canopus Pure3D II Voodoo2's

And finally the CoolerMaster Cosmos C700M

Parts that I still need to buy are the following:

512MB of EDO RAM (4 x 128MB SIMMS)

2 x 15K RPM 68-pin SCSI drives with cables and terminators to match

A new in box Pentium Pro CPU to get its heatsink, fan and sticker (as I currently only have one of these Heatsinks and fans!)

I've secured a pair of 36 GB Hitachi Ultrastar 15K73 series, model DK32EK-36NW / HUS157336EL3600 SCSI drives for this build and will purchase them next month!
