i have a problem with WC Prophecy sound/"movie" skipping. i think it is sound card related.

i am using windows XP, Audigy Gamer, Pentium4 2.4G, 512 memory.

i think i need to try to run this without accelleration. i have tried running it in emulation mode on XP in all categories (ie Win95. 98, NT/2000, also 480 x 640 mode, 256 color mode, etc.) and still the sound skips, as does the "movie". prior to upgrading to XP and the Audigy, i had the same problem with Windows 98 and Creative X-gamer, i finally got it to work by reducing the screen resolution.

once upon a time i had a diamond monster sound card, and the same thing happened until i turned off the sound acceleration of the card. (that doesn't seem to be possible with the Creative Card i now have)

any ideas?

Just copy all files from all 3 cd to wc dir.
Or download from wcnews \files hcl movie file skiper or something youll see my enlglish is not great to explain exactly.
But copying files from cd worked for me .Or use virtual cd or alcohol software to make image of cd and use image as virtual cd .Runs like hell.
