Use the forum search before posting questions. Here's a thread with more info about installing MUNT on modern OS's. If you're trying to install on a x64 OS you're probably running into the "unsigned driver" problem. Win Vista and 7 x64 don't allow installing unsigned drivers. There are workarounds for this, but they involve a rather complicated set of procedures. I'm sure you can find more info by googling "install unsigned driver vista" or similar.

I have 32 bit Vista and I want to use it with another emulator.(With Sharp X68000 emulator)On XP,it worked perfectly until I got a newer graphic card,then I had to move on to Vista(It's good as 7 now).But even on Windows 7 doesn't work.

Yes, I know exactly why it does that.

Ah, yes, now I remember.

Something to do with Vista/Win7 converting the INF and mucking up the paths, it looks in %SystemRoot%\inf instead of the directory containing the INF.

I think you may be able to change all the relative paths in the INF to static paths (In your case, '.\' should be 'c:\MUNT\").

The INF in question (oemsetup.inf), contains no static paths, in fact, very little at all.

[Source Media Descriptions]
1 = "MT-32 Synth Emulator Files" , TAGFILE = disk1

[Installable.Drivers]
mt32emu = 1:mt32emu.dll, "MIDI", "MT-32 Synth Emulator"

[mt32emu]
1:MT32_PCM.ROM
1:MT32_CONTROL.ROM

There are no %systemroot% variables stored in the INF.

Hi!

I've got a quick solution for this. WinXP inf manager creates automatically inf-flie of new format and places it in %SYSTEMROOT%\inf\MEDIAINF\INF0.inf

This can be placed in installation dir and used on Win Vista / 7 without a problem. x86 of course 😉

Converted Inf is attached...
