I decided to contribute over sourceforge.net to this
excellent emulator: DOSBox
But I would like to know that my contribution goes
to the programmer, and doesn't fall into some
middle's hole...
How to know?

it is all described in the sourceforge documents somewhere.
But basicly it goes like this:
5% with minimum of 1 dollar goes to sourceforge.
<5 % goes to paypal (with a minumum as well, but it is significant less then what goes to sf.net)
The rest goes to us.
