The CD-ROM (or actually DVD-ROM) is having problem reading game discs with DosBox which leads to that I'm unable to install games from CD, not fast enought according to Game install programs. I've used all the commands for mounting the CD (DVD) player but none helps.

All, basicly, but now I'm trying to install Top Gun Fire At Will. I managed to install an other flight sim, Fleet Defender, by taking all the contents of the CD and install through the HDD, but that worked only because the game don't need the CD while playing.

Are you sure your CD/DVD drive is not broken?

Try making CUE/BIN images and mount them inside DOSBox using the imgmount command (or using some virtual drive like Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%).

Have you tried different DOSBox versions (CVS, etc)?

Have you tried -usecd <number> option?

I wonder if the answer to that question will contradict this:
