Hi!

I do hope someone can help me to solve this problem. I downloaded DosBox a while ago, since I wanted to be able to run some old DOS games. I installed it and everything went well, during the installation. However, when I clicked on the icon in order to run the program, the command window flashes really quick, and than there´s a searing sound, and my computer reboots. This happens every time I have tried to run DosBox. Thinking it was something wrong with the version I downloaded I tried another version....but with the same result. The versions I´ve tried, are 0.73 and 0.74. I´m running Windows XP.
Furthermore, I´ve also attempted to run DosBox via the command prompt, but with the same result.

Since this is the best Dos emulator (I´ve had it on a previous computer) I would really like to be able to use it on my current one as well.

Really hope someone here can help me. Thanks in advance!

DOSBox cannot cause your computer to reboot. It's likely a video/sound driver issue.

Really? Because I haven´t had any problems with the graphic or sound card whatsoever. And this specific issue, only happens when I try to run DosBox.
Do you mean that there´s a general issue with my graphic or sound card, or just in connection with DosBox? Is there any specifications for DosBox which states what hardware it works with? Just asking since I haven´t any problem with any other program but just this one.

Thanks for trying to help! =)
