It's just a suggestion but ...

How about to adjust main memory under dosbox.

In Robocop on 512k, you won't see a guy using the big gun. Unstead, Robocop finds this weapon when opening on the box.

Other games might work differently if not played on 640k.

Use Ykhwong's build, "memsizekb=" parameter in the .conf.

Ho. You mean:

# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.
set path=c:\;c:\qb\;c:\qbx\;c:\debug;z:\;
keyb cf

I could put LOADFIX there as well.

Yeah. I know that too.

I guess robertmo meant to hint that you don't need to type LOADFIX over and over, since LOADFIX lets you specify how much memory you want to decrease. This way doesn't crash DOSBox and doesn't require different builds.

Actually running loadfix each time one wants to play a troublesome game makes more sense than setting it globally in the config for all games and then running into problems with games like Ultima 7...
If you have special configs for games it doesn't matter much whether it is a setting or you have loadfix in the autoexec section.
