Hi,

Is it possible to get DOSBox running in Linux without a window manager?

I have a vanilla Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit server, have installed DOSBox. I have not installed any GUI.

DOSBox almost runs; it launches but the screen becomes full of random "garbage", I can see a blinking cursor but nothing else. Hitting Ctrl-C issues the error "segmentation fault" and returns to Linux prompt.

It looks like it almost works, but I can't find any guides to running DOSBox in a non-GUI environment.

Thank you
Mark

I'd say Dosbox is a gui program. It's not a prompt only program. Only stdout is shown in terminal.
