Hi,

since today I can no longer open a DOSBox window. The window opens and immediately closes. It worked the last time I tried it, that was last weekend. I am not aware that I changed anything. It's possible that a Windows Update has caused this, but I am not sure.

I am using the latest version 0.74 on Windows 8.1 64 bits.

I tried the following, all resulted in the window opening and closing immediately:
* starting dosbox from the console
* resetting the configuration to default
* uninstalling and reinstalling using the official installer

I need some assistance on determining the problem. I read the trouble shooting section of the manual which told me to check messages in the DOSBox status Window. Unfortunately I can't because that window closes before I am able to read anything. Is there a log file that I can check? Or an option to enable a log file?

Today, it works again. WTF?

The question still remains: Is there a log file or some other debugging help available which I can use when the console window just won't help?
