Hullo ! DOSBOX newbie here ! Trying DOSBOX 0.74, I found it has "ANSI" console driver functionality embedded, seemingly by default. Is there an easy way (sanctioned, or not) to not load, or remove or otherwise disable the ANSI code-sequences interpreter, thus retrieving the plain "CON" driver of a native DOS w/o "ansi.sys" ?
Sorry if this is well known, I searched the board for "ansi"and didn't find an answer, I swear ;^=

DOSBox SVN is not the same as 0.74(-2) in how the different behaviors of BIOS and ANSI are handled, so if the behaviors are what interest you then be sure to try SVN. However, if you're interested in the system not reacting to escape sequences at all then I guess you have some non-game purpose, and a build of modified source or booting real DOS from a disk image are your options for that.
