Hi,
I hope this is the right section (if not I'm sorry).

I have some problems displaying ANSI characters in MS-DOS 5.0 running inside DOSBox.
For example, if I run DOSMid in DOSBox I see this:

DOSBOX.png
Filename
DOSBOX.png
File size
5.01 KiB
Views
753 views
File license
Fair use/fair dealing exception

In MS-DOS installed inside DOSBox, I see this:

MS-DOS.png
Filename
MS-DOS.png
File size
5.33 KiB
Views
754 views
File license
Fair use/fair dealing exception

The same applies with ANSI characters in batch menus.
I tried adding DEVICE=C:\DOS\ANSI.SYS /X in CONFIG.SYS but it didn't solve the problem.
Is there something I can do to display those characters?
Maybe it's very simple to correct but I really don't know how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you very much.
So I just have to change the codepage in my dosbox.conf, right?
I'm a newbie, forgive my ignorance.

Well, the problem was in the MS-DOS codepage, I solved it using this guide:
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19085-01/pci1.car … cdf8/index.html

I was looking at the wrong direction, thank you guys for your precious help.
