I installed DOSBox for the first time yesterday, taking advantage of a STEAM sale for Master of Orion.

I followed the instructions for installing DOSBox, but it never fully executes.

System Model NUC8i7HNK
Windows 10 Pro v 10.0.19042 Build 19042
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8705G CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3096 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: Radeon RX Vega M GL Graphics

I have the following settings in the conf file

fullscreen=false
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1280x960
windowresolution=original
output=openglnb
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper-0.74-3.map
usescancodes=true

I have this exact same issue. The app closes itself and you do not have any opportunity to see any messages. Event Viewer is clear. I have had no luck finding any info regarding this issue.

I have determined that this appears to be machine specific. We have several Win 10 20H2 systems dosbox is functional on. However, we have one box where we cannot get it to function at all.

Check if you are using a keyboard driver other than provided by Microsoft
Make sure you are using the latest official version of DOSBox provided via the DOSBox sourceforge site

Execute DOSBox from here or wherever you installed it but use the -noconsole switch
C:\Program Files (x86)\DOSBox-0.74-3\dosbox.exe -noconsole

Go here and paste the contents of stdout.txt in this thread
