I don't want to rush things, but is there going to be VCPI support in the near future(2003)? I would really like to play Strike Commander&Privateer.

It won't be soon

AFAIK privateer doesn't need it though. that needs pagefaults.

Privateer by Origin
Executable: PRIV.EXE

Privateer uses the Virtual Control Programming Interface (VCPI) which is supported by Windows 95 only in MS-DOS mode.

I had contacted the author of MyJEMM (which allows some VCPI titles to run in Win9x) and he said he knew of someone attempting to create a version of DosBox that would support Privateer, but when I pressed for a name he declined to give it.

Things have gone quiet since then...

The actual VCPI interface isn't so hard to make but you can't do anything with it since dosbox doesn't support the cpu features vcpi games wanna use 😀
