As of some good start for speed try (0.65 dosbox, x86 cpu)
core=dynamic and cycles=auto in dosbox.conf

Launch DOSBox. Inside DOSBox, give this exact command:

config -writeconf dosbox.conf

Now quit DOSBox again. Open the newly created file dosbox.conf with a text editor (such as Notepad) and change it to your heart's content. The explanations are mostly within the file itself.

The changes will take effect the next time you start DOSBox.

Actually you didn't read far enough, in the section about special keys
it is mentioned that alt-enter switches between fullscreen and windowed.

You can find plenty of FREE, SHAREWARE, and DEMO games on the internet using www.google.com

As for games that you have to buy to play, don't ask about downloading them here.
