You need to tell us EXACTLY what you type in when you start DosBox.

It should be:

Mount c c:\Games
c:

Then you type in "CD Kellog" to enter the game directory.
Then you type in the name of the game executable to launch the game.

I do not have the game so I do not know the proper name of it or if you need to run a setup program to configure the sound.

thank you for answering
mount C C:\oldgames

then C:

then Z changed to C

then i tried to open the file i created in oldgames that i called kelloggsland

i typed in: kelloggsland
then: command illegal

shouldnt it just open the file first. i put the setup in this file so i thought i just open the file, and then try setup.exe
???

If you use "Kelloggsland" then that is too long of a name for DOSBox.

DOSBox only recognizes 8.3 character filenames.

So you need to change "Kelloggsland" to "Kelloggs".

Did you change the name of the folder in Windows? Try changing it to just "k" and then go to "k".

ex:

mount c c:\oldgames
c:
cd k

You need to use CORE=NORMAL.

I don't know why the second capture is borked. It showed fine when playing, though.

You are probably right as I played for just 10 seconds. I was using fixed cycles though. Where can I get your demovga build version?

Hi! I encountered the same problem and did what was told (re: changing the name 'coz it's too long). I tried to mount it again using the new name but it said that the game was already mounted, so I typed in:

E:\>cd TH
Unable to change to TH

I also tried cd: TH\TH.exe
(TH.exe is at TH folder at drive E)

I do not know really if I missed something, consider me $T%&iD when it comes to pc technicalities or whatever. I'm going crazy for 2days now and I haven't got any sleep since yesterday. All I wanted was to play that old game. Please help.

Thanks in advance!

when I tried to mount it again it said:

Drive already mounted with local directory E:\ThemeHospital\
Direcoryname is longer than 8.3 characters and/or contains spaces.
Try cd TH\The~1

E:\>cd TH\The~1
Unable to change to: TH\The~1

Hi! Thank you for the prompt reply. I followed the instruction at Wiki and didn't see the "dir" thing (didn't finish reading the entire page 'coz I was so excited to play), but will take your advice for sure. Will let you know what happens.

Thanks again!
