In my free time I have been putting together a tool that can render various popular 2d RTS map images to BMP/PNG/etc. I recently added support for Warcraft maps, but because they aren't user-editable and don't have start locations clearly defined, I used DosBOX to set up dummy IPX network games and then built composite images of the 21 maps.

It's kind of a fun trip down memory lane for anyone who played the Multiplayer extensively back in the day. Maybe they would be neat to print out or something. Anyway, here they are:

The tool I used to do this is called Stratlas. Unfortunately it's not at a releasable state yet but the code is available for svn for anyone who wants to play with it. Once I add Warcraft 2 support (written but not integrated) it should see a first public release.
