In my area voodoo 3 3000 seem pretty common, I think I have 11 of them (I had more at some point, but I exchanged them), and I never paid even a double digit for any card.

Last one I bought was few days ago !

I also have 5 Voodoo 3 3000s but all are AGP. PCI cards are very rare. I can't even find a PCI Banshee anywhere..

Yes, normal asking price for a A3000 and A4000. But these are the most expensive ones and not the measure of all things.

Kinda like taking a voodoo 5 6000 price and applying it to all 3dfx cards.

I have to laugh at the absurd triple digit listings for Voodoo 3s...

most of them don't sell for trips. a few do sell for trips on ebay from time to time. to me its a 50$ card and I do see them selling for those prices.

Did you get or already have the cards and cables that go with the Audigy 2 and X-fi external modules?

Packages were complete (no boxes though) - cards (except Extigy, of course), external modules, all cables, software... only missing thing is vertical stand for X-fi 😒

Awesome! Now you just need an Audigy 4 Pro and the external module to complete your collection.

Gonna take some time to test it all!

I wouldn't waste a single buck on such a lot, even if I spotted a rare card. Whatever you find in there has probably taken so much ESD damage that it won't work for more than a few hours or - with some luck - a few weeks. So I tend to agree, it's more or less junk.

I am pretty sure after talking to the seller that they are just parting out a bunch of old systems. Supposedly the total number of cards I will be getting is 85.

For the price I paid, just the one Turtle Beach TBS-2000 card would have been worth it.

Can't wait to see what all is in that massive lot of cards.

And this is how I have gotten a good amount of old hardware that I do have.... in scrap lots that nobody else touches.

So far the stuff that I have gotten from scrap lots that works, which is almost all that I have tested, works fine and hasn't given me any problems.

Yeah, I have cards and motherboards that have been working for years that came from piles like that. So hey, cool, more for us. Like the saying goes, "One man's cigarette is another man's Cuban cigar."
