I plan to buy some RAM and have a few questions.

1) Are there motherboards or other equipment (soundcards etc.) which won't accept faster modules (with better access times)?
2) Because of the processor's data bus width it is best to look for pairs of 72-pin SIMMs and fours of 30-pin SIMMs (for comaptibility). Or should I look for larger quantities of identical modules? (for example 8 identical 72-pin SIMMs to populate all slots on a 486 board?)
3) Is there a list of chipsets and compatible modules (I mean the chip organization such as the BX being compatible only with modules up too 256 MB with 2 banks 16Mx8 each).
4) What are the common access times and technologies? I know:
- 30 pin FPM 60/70/80 ns
- 72 pin FPM 60/70/80 ns
- 72 pin EDO 50/60/70 ns
5) Are there any chipsets that work with pre PC-66 DIMMs?
6) What pre-Pentium chipsets support EDO RAM?
7) Are there 386 motherboards with 72-pin SIMM support? Are there 486 motherboards with DIMM support? (yeah, I know DIMMs are 64-bit, but I've heard that there exist 386 and 486 motherboards which can use the 64-bit width (memory interleaving)).
😎 Should I buy 9 bit 30-pin / 36 bit 72-pin SIMMs with parity?
