Hi,
I would want to know where i can to find an Ems isa 8bit ou a 16bit/8bit for my 1640 amstrad 8086, with the setup disk and the ems driver?

I'm a french and I live in france. 😁 i can to make Exchange with my old computer card,
8bit cards:

ast 640k upgrade and a noname 640k upgrade (there isn't alls memory chip on the cards)
EGA card
CPU 8086 8mhz (from my amstrad 1640)

2 mb ems card (alls chips on the card) spécific bus, not isa
ISA 16bit 8 mb simmply-ram acculogic (i never find driver for use it on my computer...)

Perhaps the right place to ask is vintage-computer-com?

They have an active WTB/WTS subforum for these kinds of things with lot of people knowledgeable about gear like this 😉

I have an Intel Above Board 16 bit ISA card with 2MB of memory, and I believe it can be set to run in 8bit mode. There is an option in the setup for PC/XT, or AT machines. The software is still available from Intel's website.

I found it on ebay for about $30. If you can't find one there try vintage-computer.com as suggested above, or even amibay.com

Beware that some AST Advantage cards are XMS only, not EMS. I have one here that does NOT support EMS.
